Jordan 1 High x Trophy Room

Made in collaboration with Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, and his high-end sneaker boutique, this Jordan 1 High x Trophy Room design honors the legendary player’s first All-Star Game with a dapper shoe decorated in classic Chicago tones. Some of these honorary features can be seen underfoot, where the icy white translucent outsole reveals a set of four stars: two in blue, two in red. The outsole’s rubber surface is lined with concentric rings below the forefoot and thick lugs in the heel to provide excellent traction to the wearer, while star-shaped nodes have been embossed onto the toe. A Sail midsole resides above this grippy underlayer, its textured exterior concealing an interior that combines foam and Air cushioning for a comfortable step.

Premium white leather forms the base of the upper, which is visible through the toe box and the midfoot panels. Delicate lines of stitching cut across the latter, while lines of perforations fan out over the former, giving the shoe both a finely crafted aesthetic and breathability. Varsity Red overlays then fill out the rest of the upper, forming the forefoot mudguard and the two overlays behind it, as well as the eyestay, the heel counter and the collar wrap. Dual bands of white stitching line the edges of these panels, and their misted complexion adds a compelling sheen to the sneaker.

The white canvas tongue sits behind a set of laces chosen by the wearer – a standard black pair is provided alongside one in red and another in blue. The last pair is adorned with text that reads “Rumor has it…”, with the words being repeated on the inside of the ankle in reference to the supposed freeze-out imposed upon Jordan by his teammates during that All-Star Game in 1985. Meanwhile, at the top of the tongue is a Varsity Red label with white Nike Air branding woven through it, and the collar behind it is black.

Internally, the sneaker combines a padded black lining with a smooth Varsity Red insole containing a custom emblem in black and white. This composite graphic brings together the words “Air Jordan” with a set of Jordan Wings and the Trophy Room logo for a one-of-a-kind design detail. Back on the outer, black leather swooshes reach down the flanks to create a bold contrast in tone, and another Wings logo has been printed onto the lateral collar wrap in black. Finally, the lateral heel counter hosts Michael Jordan’s highly recognisable signature in black, thus finishing off this familial collaboration with a uniquely sophisticated touch.
