Grayscale tones cover this Jordan 1 Low, creating a sneaker with a refined look. It is founded upon a strong rubber cupsole that offers both comfort and grip. The former comes from the white midsole, which contains encapsulated Air in the heel, and the latter is provided by the Light Smoke Grey outsole via its various indentations, some of which are circular and others straight. Encircling the top edge of the textured midsole is a line of stitching set within a groove that divides the sole from the rest of the shoe.

As well as the two tones found on the sole unit, the upper adds a third color to the mix – black. This brings further contrast to the leather panels placed across it, firstly in the forefoot, which is made up of a black mudguard and a Light Smoke Grey toe box filled with perforations. The use of this light gray hue on the front of the foot earnt the sneaker its nickname, Shadow Toe. Dark tones extend back over the top of the shoe in the form of the eyestay, laces and tongue, all of which are black. The Jumpman logo has been sewn into the top of the tongue for added style.

Elsewhere, the midfoot sections, which reach back to wrap around the heel in a thin line of leather, are white. This color makes the black swooshes laid across each flank stand out powerfully, while the delicate line of stitching that crosses the Nike logo through the middle before moving diagonally up towards the eyestay adds a captivating detail. Panels of Light Smoke Grey can be seen above and below the swoosh as it reaches around the heel, the one underneath it carrying a set of Jordan Wings in neat black embroidery.
