Jordan 11 Retro Low
"Pink Snakeskin"
AH7860-106
This summer-ready Jordan 11 Retro Low comes in a graceful blend of light tones, creating a sneaker that is full of elegance and style. Beyond this, it is supportive and comfortable thanks to the construction of its sole unit, which is bolstered by a lightweight carbon fiber shank plate. The black and white grid and white Jumpman logo decorating the surface of this durable layer are visible behind the translucent white outsole, whose rubber exterior is lined with wave-like grip formations. When added to the herringbone tread found on the opaque sections in the toe and heel, here in Watermelon pink, they act as a sturdy platform for the wearer to walk upon. Adding softness to this solid foundation is a Phylon foam midsole with a white, lightly textured complexion. Inside, it is padded out with an Air pocket that runs the full length of the shoe, providing comfort from heel to toe.
On the upper, premium white leather coats the top half, while the bottom half is defined by its eye-catching faux snakeskin mudguard. The shiny scales that it is composed of are decorated in a striking mixture of rosy Watermelon and creamy whites, from which the shoe’s nickname of Pink Snakeskin is derived. Like the quarter panel, the heel overlay and tongue are also made from smooth white leather. Both are adorned with distinctive branding effects, the former displaying a diminutive black Jumpman, which has been intricately sewn into its center. The latter, meanwhile, has been split in two down the middle by a black strip that hosts both a Watermelon Jumpman and the words “Jordan” and “Jumpman” in white.
Internally, the shoe is mostly blanketed in more vivid pink tones, with Watermelon covering the inner lining, the insole and the back of the tongue. The only exceptions to this are the black label sewn into this last feature and the black Jumpman on the insole, the former having a Watermelon Jumpman and white text woven through it. The soft pink material that lines the shoe’s inner walls then spills out onto the heel, forming a brightly colored tab. Stamped onto this is the number 23, which was Jordan’s jersey number throughout most of his playing career, in a final nod to the sneaker’s legendary namesake.
