This suave Jordan 11 Retro Low x Derek Jeter has taken the classic AJ11 low-top and updated it with intriguing features that reference the American Hall of Fame baseball player. Its nickname, RE2PECT, has been used on Jeter’s branded apparel before and is indicative of his deep respect for the game and the fans, as well as the high regard in which he is held within the baseball community and beyond. It is built upon an outsole that integrates two Sail-colored pods with a herringbone tread into a larger piece of partially see-through rubber filled with wavy grip lines. Together, these deliver excellent traction underfoot, while the carbon fiber plate set behind the outsole brings lightweight support to the foot. This component is decorated with a grid of contrasting gray tones and has a white Jumpman leaping powerfully across its center.

A white Phylon foam midsole lies on the other side of the piece of carbon fiber, adding spongy comfort to the outsole’s sturdiness. Its interior contains a full-length unit of Nike Air, which cushions the foot even further. Luxurious softness continues on the upper as it sports an entirely suede construction in the rich shade of Binary Blue. This material coats everything from the exaggerated mudguard to the quarter panels, tongue and heel overlay, giving the shoe a comprehensively plush feel. Thick blue textile laces with flat edges tie up over the Binary Blue tongue, which displays a branded patch across its center. The one on the left foot hosts the familiar Jordan and Jumpman lettering either side of a Jumpman logo, all in Sail, while the right foot has been adorned with the word “RE2PECT”.

Internally, the sneaker’s insole is made of a smooth Binary Blue material, the left one exhibiting more Sail RE2PECT text, the right Jeter’s uniform number of 2, which was retired by the New York Yankees in 2017 in honor of his incredible achievements while playing for the Major League Baseball team. A downy Binary Blue fabric rises up along the inner walls around this, eventually extending over the topline to form a small tab on the heel. The number 2 has been woven boldly into the tab in white just above a mini embroidered Jumpman in the same bright tone, thus completing this stylish Jordan 11 collaboration.
