Jordan 3 Retro

This Jordan 3 Retro is based on a model worn by Jordan himself while playing for the Washington Wizards in the early 2000s. It features a throwback design that recalls one of the earliest AJ3 colorways, but its nickname, Wizards, honors the last pro basketball team he played for. Its offbeat outsole is mostly coated in a Cement Grey tone apart from a white section below the heel and a Metallic Copper area under the forefoot. The last part has concentric circle grip lines emanating across it, while another Metallic Copper strip beneath the heel displays the word “Jordan”. Resting atop this solid foundation is a dual-layered polyurethane midsole with a white toe cap. The lower part is white, and the top layer True Blue, a clear window in the heel showing off the sneaker’s comfortable Air cushioning.

Meanwhile, the upper is largely made of a single piece of tumbled white leather that reaches almost the full length of the shoe. Elegant lines of stitching define the different segments of the upper, and captivating elephant-print overlays bring eye-catching accents to the toe and heel. The latter overlay loops low around the back of the foot to allow room for the large white heel panel, which itself carries an embossed Jumpman leaping over the word “Air”, both in appealing True Blue tones. The top portion of the panel has several raised bands working their way up towards the top of the heel to facilitate good grip when pulling the shoe on.

Inside, the sneaker’s velvety soft lining is True Blue, as are the insole and the back of the tongue, and a white Jumpman has been printed onto the sockliner. Back on the outer, two types of eyelet secure the white laces. The five lower ones on each side are Metallic Copper ringlets, while the three that extend up towards the collar on either flank are made of True Blue TPU. These upper ones emerge from another panel of elephant-print suede, and a final pair of True Blue eyelets sits at the front of the collar, offering another lacing option to the wearer. Over the top of the foot is a white tongue whose lower half has a collection of tiny perforations for extra breathability. Its top half then completes the regal look of this Air Jordan 3 via the Metallic Copper Jumpman woven brightly in its center.
