Jordan 5 Retro x Supreme
"Desert Camo"

This Jordan 5 Retro x Supreme collaborative design displays a host of unique branding details alongside dynamic decorations to create a thoroughly appealing sneaker. Its rubber outsole starts with quite neutral tones of white on the translucent herringbone grip sections below the heel and forefoot and black on the opaque area beneath the arch and capping the toe. However, while Jordan lettering has been embossed into the black area with no change in tone, the partially see-through surface of the forefoot reveals bright Fire Red Jumpman and Supreme logos behind its cloudy rubber covering.
The black theme from the solid parts of the outsole continues into the polyurethane midsole, sweeping around almost its entire circumference, with the exception of the vibrantly colored shark teeth on its lateral flank and the single tooth on its medial side. These come in Fire Red and have been speckled with splashes of white, for a striking aesthetic. Meanwhile, clear windows in each side of the heel provide a view of the Air cushioning set within, which offers the very best levels of comfort to the wearer.
Moving to the upper, earthy colors come into play as the canvas panels are coated in Desert Camo tones of beige and brown, with patches of white and black dotted over the top. The particular arrangement of these graphics and colors is different on each shoe, making the experience of owning a pair unique for each wearer. This goes for the toe mudguard, the forefoot underlay, the quarter panels, the wavy edged heel counter and the collar. Bulging protrusions stick out over each ankle, delivering excellent protection there, and the medial side of the collar rises up higher than the lateral one, molding more effectively to the shape of the ankle.
On the sidewalls, translucent white mesh lends the shoe breathability while revealing oversized black Supreme branding on the layer behind it at the same time. Another section of this mesh appears over the top of the foot, where it forms the bottom of the tongue. Its top half, meanwhile, is coated in a reflective silver material with a black Jumpman placed in its center that has a puffy outline to make it visually stand out from the surface. Black laces tie up below it through black pieces of TPU set into the quarter panels and the front of the collar. At the top, they thread through a lace lock made up of a Fire Red toggle and a clear plastic housing which provides secure lockdown to the foot.
The shoe’s inner is coated with a black fleecy material that acts as a soft blanket around the foot. This includes the back of the tongue, which has two Fire Red patches woven into it, one displaying Air Jordan text in white, the other Supreme lettering. The insole also has dual branding, this time in the form of a white Jumpman and the famous Supreme box logo. Back on the outer, the usual 23 embroidery on the lateral heel counter has been replaced by the number 94 as a reference to the year Supreme was founded. The digits have been sewn into the canvas outer in black with a white backing, giving them a captivating 3D appearance. Then, one last Jumpman logo finishes things off in the center of the heel, where it has been artfully embroidered in black thread.
