Jordan 1 Retro High OG
"UNC Toe"

Powerful color-blocking effects give this Jordan 1 Retro High OG a distinctive look. Its two-tone sole unit features the classic setup of a white midsole ringed with a line of stitching, and inside, it holds a pocket of spongy Air cushioning in the heel alongside foam material through the rest of the foot. While this offers a soft bed for the foot to step onto, the University Blue outsole has the same grippy indentations as the 1985 original to help the walker remain steady on their feet. This includes concentric circles under the forefoot and more linear constructions below the heel for comprehensive traction.
Meanwhile, the upper is made up of a durable leather outer and an inner with soft padding. White appears only through the midfoot panels, which taper through to the heel, eventually meeting at a small piece of University Blue leather in its center. Running along the bottom of the strip of white leather is a pair of Nike swooshes, each one extending outwards from the heel to lie across the midfoot. A line of white thread beginning at the midsole and ending at the eyestay cuts across the middle of each logo, for an eye-catching touch, and further bands of stitching connect the panels of the upper together either in double or single lines.
Smooth black leather wraps around the front of the toe, forming the forefoot mudguard, behind which are more black overlays and an eyestay in a tone to match. A University Blue toe box, which is responsible for the shoe’s nickname, UNC Toe, rests at the center of the mudguard, its ventilation holes aerating the foot, while black laces thread up through the wavy-edged eyestay. Further back, there is a black canvas tongue, with University Blue Nike Air branding visible on a black label at its peak.
A high collar encloses the ankle in supportive padding, its black exterior overlaid by University Blue leather. This circles around the back of the heel, a set of black Air Jordan Wings printed onto its lateral side. Mirroring this piece of leather is another in the same tone that fills out the heel counter below, creating a cohesive aesthetic. Inside the shoe, black covers almost everything, from the inner lining to the insole. The one exception is the Nike Air text and swoosh, which exhibit a concluding splash of University Blue to round out this stylish colorway.
