Nike Air Force 1 Shadow

This Nike Air Force 1 Shadow brings together a collection of blue and turquoise tones to create an engaging design. Underfoot, the Summit White sole unit features an outsole with deep circular grooves for excellent traction and a midsole with a textured surface and Air lettering rising out of its lateral heel in Industrial Blue. Either side of this word, embossed lines in the same bold blue tone extend away to encircle the heel, above which rests an additional backtab in a light turquoise known as Mineral. While the edge of the outsole comes in a creamy shade of off-white, the top of the midsole is ringed with a groove of pristine white stitching.

On the upper, smooth Summit White overlays in the forefoot and heel sit either side of a midfoot section in the same tone but with tumbled leather for textural variation. The toe box is made of this material as well, with perforations that are arranged into a grid pattern bringing it an intriguing aesthetic while also providing ventilation for the foot.

Underneath the primary mudguard that wraps around the toe, there is another layer in Industrial Blue. This sets the tone for the rest of the design, which exhibits a number of doubled-up effects. There is the eyestay, whose Summit White top layer obscures most of the Mineral panel underneath, and the heel panel, which has an off-white underlay with Industrial Blue Nike text and a Geode Teal overlay with Mineral branding embroidered into it. Further double layers show up on the white tongue, whose primary label comes in Geode Teal with white Nike Air text. Beneath this, another white patch with Mineral writing is partially visible.

The white mesh of the inner lining is matched by the insole, whose surface has mirrored Nike Air lettering in Geode Teal and Industrial Blue. Back on the outer, a white lace lock etched with AF1 branding secures the laces just above another set of Industrial Blue AF1 text. The medial sidewall has just a single leather swoosh in Mineral tones, but the lateral side is adorned with two swooshes – a leather Mineral one lying across another in Industrial Blue which appears flat against the surface of the midfoot and rear overlay to finish off the compelling aesthetic with more contrastive layering effects.
